I wonder why realtors get laughed at and made fun of. Most people think just for doing "a little paperwork" they get paid "thousands". Does anybody realize that it’s actually very time consuming and if done properly, can save the buyer or seller a huge headache and/or money. It’s actually a JOB. Often times, the realtor does not get paid if there is no end result, even though there were endless hours put into it. Are these jokers snobs or what?
I’ve never known Realtors to be looked down upon or laughed at.
But then I’m an insurance adjuster.
You should see some of the nasty looks I get when I tell people what I do! I’m hated just as much as a lawyer or used car salesman but no where near as well paid!!
Say a house is listed with Agent B who works for Brokerage G. If Agent B decides to quit Brokerage G and go to work for Brokerage D, does the house stay listed with Agent B or Brokerage G?
Brokerage G could be nasty and keep the listing even if sellers want to transfer it to Brokerage D, but why deal with unhappy sellers. If sellers ask for a transfer in writing, it will usually be done.
ideally I would like to specify house type 3 or 4 bed see the different locations of the houses on a map.

Ok so heres the story. about a month ago i found this house i absolutely love and when i went to get info on it and possibly put an offer on it i was told it went in to escrow and it was very rare for peoples loans to fall thru at that point and have the house open back up so my realestate agent basically told me that house was hopeless and keep moving. the house also went "inactive" on the website i found it on.
so kept looking for a house and nothing has compared.
but just a few minutes ago i was sent an email saying one of my saved home listings had been updated. i looked to see what home.. and there i was the house that was hopeless to get.
i researched it on another website and there it was….
im trying real hard not get my hopes up.
do you think the home is actually for sell again?
this seems to be a sign that this is supposed to be MY home
also me and my boyfriend make about 3000 dollars a month and dont have much debt do you think we can afford a 88 thousand dollar house? we both have pretty good credit scores also
i sure hope this isnt some sort of glich and my house is really gone.
There may have been family problems too so that the house couldn’t be sold until all the heirs agree. All I can tell you about buying a house, is that you don’t want to get too enthused so that you inspect it very very carefully and be sure it is worth the $. Have all the right inspections done and look for damage and check out the neighborhood. $3000 is not a lot of money when it comes to home ownership. They cost a lot and there are always repairs and some can be extremely expensive. Be sure you don’t get in the mess so many others are and buy something you really can’t afford. Anything can go wrong in your life like lose your job, have health problems, bad car wreck and then there is the weather problems like hail damage, tornadoes and hurricanes and all of that. Be sure you have enough $ to tide you over a pretty good time . . .like six months saved up and then a good savings account for when the house needs fixing, and then a tidy down payment. Without all of that, don’t buy a house. Nothing is worse in a relationship than to be short of money so that you have to constantly worry about how you are going to pay the bills and then you want to have enough to have some fun and you need to be saving on a regular basis. Plus you are moving in with no commitment from your bf. What happens if you break up? Protect yourself very carefully. . .always. . . .Good luck!
Other realators have told me that my realtor hasn’t allowed them to show the house. It has been on the market for 9 months and the only decent offer I had fell through because the buyer wasn’t qualified. It also hasn’t been shown for over a month.
Call their broker. They should not be involved at all in the showing of your property by buyers agents. As long as you allowed a lockbox to be installed the agent is not really involved.
Your contract is not really with an agent, it is with the broker, the one with the real license. You can keep your contract and change agents without any difficulty at all.
I am inputing listings in the MLS and realtors have been faxing me hard to read input sheets to enter. I waist alot of time calling them back and trying to figure out what they wrote down.
Create a web site form and have them fill it out on line. When you get it back its already filled in and can easily be cut and paste if you still want to waste time (albiet less time than before) entering it. Or have a web programmer take it and automatically send it to where it needs to go.
You can have the site hosted with a database for making them login and have the whole thing secure for less than a 200-300 bucks a year. And you should be able to have the thing designed for something like 8 hours of work at no more than $50/hr if you just shop around.
I would do it for that if you can’t find anyone reasonable just for the learning experience. I do a lot of database and web stuff and think I could figure out something that would make ya happy. Just let me know if you are interested.
what would be the comment on property tax increase, if you were a farm, homeowner, and realty state agent. meaning what would they say to a property tax increase.
Could you please be a little more specific? What would "who" say? …. the county? and, for what reason are you referring to the property tax increasing? It would only happen if your property were to sell at a higher amount, you had it appraised for refinancing, or you did improvements that increased your property value.
It says "the page you requested was not found" with this computer, but when i use another computer it works well.
I have vista. When i open the website with firefox it does open, but it doesn’t work with windows explorer.
If you use Internet Explorer check if the security level ist at medium high by going to Tools >> internet Options >> security tab >> see if the security bar is at the middle which is the medium high
Check also that you have internet connection on the computer which cannot access the web site. Try to access other web sites and see if they load.
Alright, well my mom and I are thinking of moving to Palmdale but we can’t exactly afford a full priced home. So what I did was check the listings of foreclosed home. Now it says the loan balance is like 3,000 on average. Now on this page http://realestate.yahoo.com/California/Palmdale/Homes_for_sale/0dac4c81272c5cd9bcb396cce3090835;_ylt=AtW9lg8TWCjWcyS4ExQmn_LnMrQs?cc=realestate&p=Palmdale,%20CA&priceHigh=&priceLow=&nodeId=750007014&radius=&bedrooms=2&bedrooms=3&bedrooms=4&bedrooms=5&bathrooms=2.0&bathrooms=2.5&bathrooms=3.0&bathrooms=3.5&bathrooms=4.0&type=foreclosure&sortBy=price+1
it says the loan balance is $2238 but it also says the amount is $2238. So is that the price or what? Thanks in advance.
No, of course that’s not the price. What you are seeing is the amount of money which the current homeowner is in default on the loan. Assuming that this property is eventually fully foreclosed upon, the bank will offer it for sale at the current market value for the property. What they will accept to sell it may not be market value, but it will be FAR more than $2238.
Does any one have any ideas how to find an owner who wants to sell a home w/ out using a realestate agent?
We have plenty of time to find our "perfect home" in Carle Place.
On the other hand – what does a r/a do for the home buyer?
i’ve been checking all the listing on the fsbo and a like – i understand that the agent works for the seller not the buyer, i want to know what do agents do for the buyer… if anything?
Do a search online for "for sale by owner." There are numerous sites such as buyowner.com fsbo.com help-u-sell.com which sell by owner or combine MLS listings with lower fees. I agree that the realtor does little for the buyer and costs a lot of money in today’s market. Of course, you are going to get a lot of comments from realtors that you do not pay for it etc. Of course the cost of selling is reflected in the price of the house.
