  • How do I find a cat sitter to watch my cat in their house during the day while realtors are showing my house?

Posted by admin on January 29th, 2010 and filed under realtors | 5 Comments »

I don’t want my cat in the house while realtors are going in and out of my house for the next 2 months. I need to find someone willing to keep the cat during the day while I’m out at work. Any suggestions?

If you’re in the states than try Craigs list. You might look in the yellow pages for a kennel which would keep your cat temporarily as well.

There are pet shops that keep pets while owners are on vacation etc. look them up.

Check vet office for ads, pet shops for ads of sitters and paper. Check them as you would for a child. *mamatx

if you have a relative or a friend that can look after your cat during the day you could bring it to them or call the Vet or a boarding place for animals and bring the cat over .

But also keep in mind that pets will feel the changes and will have a lost feeling if they are placed in a different environment .

Good for you — making a wise decision for increasing opportunities to sell your house,
and making sure to take care of your cat too.
And for providing a new and interesting question!
To avoid homeless feeling for your cat,
see if you can locate one who sits cats in her/his home
and will agree to have you cat back and forth
      but a bit unpredictably
      — unless you want to take cat over each day on way to work?
Check home and person out thoroughly, of course.
Take over own food and water, dishes, blanket, toys, brush….
Has cat been away from home before, much?
